PERRYVILLE -- Clarence William Robinson, 88, of Perryville died Monday, May 31, 1999, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 5, 1911, in Perry County, son of Andrew Charles and Sophia Schremp Robinson. He and Cecelia Buff were married in September 1930 at Silver Lake. She died June 19, 1996.
Robinson retired as a lineman with Citizens Electric. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.
Survivors include four daughters, Iva Adams of Perryville, Christine White of Edwardsville, Ill., Patricia Stewart of St. Louis, Guida Schmedinghoff of Rhode Island; three sons, Glen Robinson of Farmington, Arnold and Eric Robinson of Perryville; a brother, Lawrence Robinson of Perryville; 27 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two grandchildren, and three brothers.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30-9:50 a.m. Parish prayers will be at 7 tonight, and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Thursday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
