Clarence W. Lange, 89, of Jackson passed away Friday, April 4, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born April 12, 1918, at Tilsit, son of Henry H. and Anna L. Siebert Lange. He and Alline Evans were married Dec. 15, 1940. She passed away Jan. 21, 1998. He and Ruth Jean Kassel Field were married April 20, 1989, in Cape Girardeau...

Clarence W. Lange, 89, of Jackson passed away Friday, April 4, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 12, 1918, at Tilsit, son of Henry H. and Anna L. Siebert Lange. He and Alline Evans were married Dec. 15, 1940. She passed away Jan. 21, 1998. He and Ruth Jean Kassel Field were married April 20, 1989, in Cape Girardeau.

Clarence farmed at Tilsit, retiring in 1982. He then built and sold portable storage sheds until 2006.

He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit, and was a former elder and treasurer. He has been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau the past 25 years.

Loving survivors include his wife; two sons, Randy (Ann) Lange of Millersville, Steve Lange of Perryville, Mo., (former daughter-in-law, Pam of Jackson); a daughter, Loretta (Larry) Kuntze of Gordonville; three stepsons, Terry (Penny) Field of Apex, N.C., Dean (Renee) Field of Addison, Ill., Todd Field of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, Kim (Cliff) Przybyl of Shell Knob, Mo.; a sister, Wilma (Clarence) Schlimpert of Jackson; five grandchildren, Pam Eggimann, Jared Kuntze, Brian Lange, Josh Lange and Amanda Lange; nine stepgrandchildren, Shawn (Angie) Field, Jacki Field, Danell Field, Alyson Field, and Samantha Field, Carrie Przybyl, Chris Przybyl, Jason Przybyl and C.J. Przybyl; three great-grandchildren; and three great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, five sisters and a granddaughter.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 11:30 a.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Interment will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Tilsit.
