JONESBORO, Ill. -- Clarence Edward Kennedy, 63, of Jonesboro, formerly of Thebes, Ill., died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, at Jonesboro Health Care Center.

He was born March 3, 1937, at Morehouse, Mo., son of Dewey and Ella Marie McCane Kennedy.

Kennedy was a farm laborer.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Dunn of Olive Branch, Ill., Deborah Kelley of McClure, Ill.; three sons, Mark Kennedy of Jacksonville, Fla., John and Michael Kennedy of Thebes; three brothers, Larry Kennedy of Wichita, Kan., David Kennedy of McClure, George Kennedy of Louisiana; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

There is no visitation or funeral.

Burial will be private.

Jones Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
