CHAFFEE -- Clarence Ray Kelley, 56, Chaffee Route 2, died Thursday, May 22, 1997, at his home.
He was born May 12, 1941, in Banner, Ky., son of James Leo and Emila Katherine Jones Kelley. He and Patricia M. Pace Benson were married Nov. 18, 1984.
Kelley was a pipefitter and welder with Local 436 in Pascagoula, Miss. He became disabled in December 1986. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Gary Kelley of Holts Summit, Robert Kelley of Cape Girardeau, Keith Kelley of Orrville, Ohio, David Kelley of Chaffee; five daughters, Theresa Powell of Holts Summit, Becky Crowden, Rebecca and Jamie Kelley of Chaffee, Cynthia Kelley of Fort Leonard Wood.
Other survivors include his mother, Katherine Ross of Chaffee; a sister, Claudia Marion of Chaffee; four stepbrothers, Raymond, Butch, Larry and Billy Ross, all of St. Louis; two stepsisters, Joanna Davis and Donna Young of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. William Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
