FROHNA, Mo. — Clarence E. Grebing, 89, of Frohna died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 18, 1928, in Frohna, son of Otto and Amanda Feiste Grebing. He and Mildred L. Nussbaum were married July 22, 1951. She survives in Frohna. ...

FROHNA, Mo. — Clarence E. Grebing, 89, of Frohna died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 18, 1928, in Frohna, son of Otto and Amanda Feiste Grebing. He and Mildred L. Nussbaum were married July 22, 1951. She survives in Frohna.

Clarence enjoyed farming and was a federal food inspector. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and on the finance committee at Concordia.

Other survivors include one son and one daughter, Kent (Carla) Grebing of Spring, Texas, and Denise (Alvin) Morrison of Frohna, and one son-in-law, Mike (Donna) Hicks of Kansas City, Missouri; six grandchildren, John Hicks, David Hicks, Alison (Brian) Funke, Barrett (Chrysta) Grebing, Robert (Kristen) Morrison and Kathy (Jon Strelow) Morrison; and five great-grandchildren, Journie and Koltin Ryan, and Jack, Faith and Blythe Funke.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Rhonda Grebing; and sisters Norma (Elton) Meyr, Frieda (Raymond) Reisenbichler and infant sister Wilma.

Visitation will be held from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. today at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at the church, with the Rev. Barrett Grebing officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, Concordia Seminary in St. Louis or Saxony Lutheran High School.
