Clarence Grebe, 86, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Jan. 30, 1995, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born March 6, 1908, in Whitewater, son of Henry and Mary Fingerhut Grebe. He and Lucille Koehler were married Feb. 14, 1946, at Jackson. She died Aug. 27, 1987.
Grebe had farmed in Cape Girardeau County most of his life. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1972 from Jackson. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include three sons, Harold Grebe of Humboldt, Iowa, Joe and Paul Grebe of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Kathleen Propst of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Linus Grebe of Gordonville; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
