Clarence Break, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Nov. 11, 1995, at The Lutheran Home. He was born March 17, 1924, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Hastin W. and Janie Wolters Break. On June 5, 1947, he married Wanda O'Howell. Break was a member of Red Star Baptist Church and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He had worked at Mr. C's IGA and Shaeper's IGA as a meat cutter...

Clarence Break, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Nov. 11, 1995, at The Lutheran Home.

He was born March 17, 1924, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Hastin W. and Janie Wolters Break. On June 5, 1947, he married Wanda O'Howell.

Break was a member of Red Star Baptist Church and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He had worked at Mr. C's IGA and Shaeper's IGA as a meat cutter.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Steven Break of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Judy Bouglass of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Calvin Break and Kenneth Break, both of Cape Girardeau; and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Mount Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Lorimier Cemetery.
