ALTENBURG -- Clara W. Schilling, 89, formerly of Altenburg, died Monday, Oct. 28, 1991, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 7, 1902, at Wittenberg, daughter of Henry and Bertha Mueller Loebs. She married Rudolph F. Schilling Nov. 9, 1924. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church here.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Raymond Schilling of Sheller, Ill., Melvin Schilling of St. Charles, Harold Schilling of Altenburg; three daughters, Myrtle Kuehnert and Lillian Fiehler of Altenburg, Lorene Haertling of Nashville, Ill.; three half brothers, Rudy Schmidt of St. Louis, Richard Schmidt of Luci, Fla., Herbert Schmidt of Altenburg; a half sister, Hildegard Voss of St. Ann; 24 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; nine stepgrandchildren, and several great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son; brother, half brother, half sister, great-grandson, and stepfather, Emanuel Schmidt.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Church. The Rev. Willard Kassulke will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg after 5 p.m. today and until 9 a.m. Thursday.
