PERRYVILLE -- Funeral mass for Clara Thompson of Perryville will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

The Rev. Edward Wilson, C.M., will officiate and burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.

Mrs. Thompson died Tuesday at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was 76.

She was born July 24, 1914 in Biele, the daughter of Louis and Catherine Baudendistel Kutz, both deceased.

On July 31, 1933, she married Hubert "Slick" Thompson, who survives.

Mrs. Thompson worked for 31 years at the International Shoe Co. in Perryville and retired from the J. Bishop Poultry plant, formerly in Perryville. She was a member of the St. Vincent De Paul Parish in Perryville and the Perryville Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post #4282.

Survivors include a son, Paul Thompson of Belleville, Ill.; a brother, Flavian Kutz of Perryville; two sisters, Isabell Wolf and Elsie Armbrecht, both of St. Louis; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Kutz, and a sister, Irene Peth.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville, where a parish wake service will be conducted today at 7:15 p.m.
