Clara Mae Moore, daughter of the late Phillip and Katie Felter Uhrhan, was born Feb. 22, 1935, in Scott City and departed her life Monday, April 10, 2023, at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Missouri, at the age of 88 years.
She was the owner and operator of Economy IGA in Scott City for 25 years, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City and a lifelong resident of Scott City.
Clara was first united in marriage to Walter Dillow. He preceded her in death in 1972. Clara then was united in marriage to Curtis Moore on June 5, 1976, in Scott City. He preceded her in death July 25, 2015.
Survivors include one daughter, Nelda (Rick) Jordan of Scott City; two stepsons, Daniel (Doris) Moore of Kelso, Missouri, and John Moore of San Francisco; two stepdaughters, Joyce (Bill) Daniels of Scott City and Anne (Tom) Haugen of Alaska; two granddaughters, Olivia (Lukas) Bowling and Cassie (A.J.) Rhyne; and three great-grandchildren, Allie Thomas, Lexi Thomas and Samuel Bowling.
Besides her husbands and parents, Clara was preceded in death by a son, Stan Dillow; two brothers, Barney and Vincent Uhrhan; and by a sister, Catherine Uhrhan.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 13, with a prayer service at 4 p.m., at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tom Wilk officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
