Clara Blanche "Mollie" Magee, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at Heartland Care Rehab.
She was born Aug. 11, 1917, at Aquilla, Mo., daughter of William and Althea Cox Capps. She and Norman I. Magee were married July 5, 1936. He died Sept. 28, 1987.
Magee and her husband owned Fibber and Mollie's Cafe in Bloomfield, Mo., and operated two grocery stores at Avert, Mo. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1964, retiring from Rust and Martin Drapery Department in 1980.
Survivors include a son, Don Magee of Oak Ridge; two daughters, Elaine Choate of Scott City, Carol Vandiver of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a grandchild.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
