ORAN, Mo. -- Clara Lucina Halter, 101, died Saturday, July 13, 2002, at Delmar Garden West Nursing Home in Chesterfield, Mo.
She was born June 2, 1901, at St. Louis, daughter of Charles Lux and Katie Marie Hahn.
She and Lawrence Halter were married Aug. 3, 1920, at New Hamburg. He died Feb. 2, 1987.
She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and the ladies Sodality group at the church.
Survivors include four sons, Cornelius Halter of Mount Pleasant, Mich., Herman Halter and Jerome Halter, both of St. Louis, and Norman Ray Halter of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Adele Horman and Beatrice Sadler, both of St. Louis, and Jermaine Hurst of San Antonio; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. at the chapel.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Guardian Angel Church, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
