Clara Frankum, 92, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Sikeston, Missouri, was escorted by angels to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born Feb. 16, 1926, to William Carroll and Nora Dove Inman Turnbo. Clara married Walter Leroy Frankum, and he preceded her in death in 1975.
She was a graduate of Wardell High School. Clara began her working career as a licensed beautician and then later was an inspector for Potlach, now Tetra-Pak for 30 years. She was a lifetime member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston. Clara was a loving mother. She loved gardening and took great pride in her flowers.
Loving survivors include her children, Larry (Sharon) Frankum of Cape Girardeau, Shearry (Alan) Kridelbaugh of Cape Girardeau, Keith (Linda) Frankum of Sikeston, Kathy Wilkey of Cape Girardeau and Tony (Valerie) Frankum of Jacksonville, Alabama; 16 grandchildren, Andrea Powell, Brad and Blake Anderson, Donna, Tim and Roy Kridelbaugh, Amanda Kitchen, Jon Kridelbaugh, Keith N. and Andrew Frankum and Erik Chartrau, Sally Cates, Brian and Kym Kiefer and Brittney, Michael and Matthew Frankum; 26 great-grandchildren; and long-time friend and companion, Leta Swinney of Benton, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Shady Acres Church of Christ, 1440 Ables Road, Sikeston, MO 63801.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with Pastor Manly Luscombe officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories in Sikeston. Pallbearers will be Keith Frankum, Matthew Frankum, Brad Anderson, Blake Anderson, Guy Turnbo and Erik Chartrau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Shady Acres Church of Christ.
