LEORA -- Clara Edna Owens, 87, of Godfrey, Ill., died Monday, Jan. 22, 1996, at D'Adrian Convalescent Center in Godfrey.
She was born July 28, 1908, in Leora, daughter of Mose and Harriet Lufcy Kimbrel. She and Cyrus Luther "Dock" Owens were married Feb. 6, 1932. He died March 23, 1972.
Owens retired as a cook at Zalma Schools. She was a member of Kinder General Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Buttry of East Alton, Ill., Barbara Chaney of Granite City, Ill., Harriette Hunt of Moberly; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a child, brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ray Placher officiating. Burial will be in Fagan Cemetery near Puxico.
