CLARA E. MCCUNE

Clara E. McCune, 68, 1711 Stoddard, died Sunday, July 21, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 2, 1922, in Johnston City, Ill., daughter of Matthew and Rosalie Agnitch Stritzel. She married Homer Leslie Huskey March 16, 1940, who died June 28, 1968. She later married James Andrew McCune June 6, 1972, who died Dec. 17, 1984.

McCune was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church and its Women's Council, and was a volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center.

Survivors include a son, Homer L. Huskey Jr. of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Marlene Payne of St. Charles, Patricia Sturm and Karen Rice of Cape Girardeau; five brothers, Pete, Matthew, Fred and Joe Stritzel of Johnston City, Bud Stritzel of Herrin, Ill.; two sisters, Mary Toler and Anna Doscotte of Johnston City; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Ken Grass will officiate, with burial in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 2-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
