POPLAR BLUFF -- Funeral service for Clara Vay Dunz, Poplar Bluff Route 7, was held Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Daniel Snider officiated, with burial in Memorial Garden Cemetery.
Dunz, 71, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1997, at Lucy Lee Healthcare System.
She was born March 23, 1926, in Oaklawn, Ill. She first married Earl Inlows Long in 1947. He died in 1967. She later married John Dunz, formerly of Cape Girardeau, in 1969.
Dunz was secretary at First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member and served as an elder.
She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America, past district deputy of the Order of Eastern Star, and past worthy high priestess of White Shrine of Jerusalem.
Survivors include her husband; three sisters, Caroline Paston of Knox, Ind., Gwendolyn Schaer of Hayward, Wis., and Ronelva Scates of Arnold.
