Clara Jenett Davis, 81, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 9, 1925, in St. Louis, daughter of William and Catherine Jacob Littleton. Clara made her home on a farm at Neelys Landing.
Clara worked at the former Florsheim Shoe Factory in Jackson 34 years, and then in the laundry department at the former Deal Nursing Home in Jackson. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church near Fruitland.
Clara enjoyed bus trips to numerous places throughout the United States. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially working on her farm.
Loving survivors include a son, Gene (Pam) Davis of Jackson; two grandchildren, Nathan and Anthony Davis of Jackson; and a sister, Maxine Farrow of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Littleton, and a sister, Ann Sutherland.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 p.m. to service time today.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Revs. Bob Eisenhauer and Kevin Cawley officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Apple Creek Cemetery at Pocahontas.
