Clara M. Adams, 95, of Fairfield, Conn., died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Southport Manor.
She was born July 13, 1905, at Neelys Landing, Mo., daughter of Spencer and Florence Miller Lemmon. She and Walter Q. Adams were married June 3, 1933. He died Sept. 30, 1975.
Mrs. Adams had been a Fairfield resident the past 15 years. She was a member of Fairfield Grace United Methodist Church. While in Missouri, she was a member of Cape Rock Chapter 61 Order of Eastern Star, and Centenary United Methodist Church.
For many years, Mrs. Adams helped in the operation of the various businesses her husband owned, and after retirement they traveled extensively. They enjoyed spending time in their vacation home in Pass Christian, Miss.
Survivors include her beloved daughter, Jane Bohnsack of Fairfield; a brother and sister-in-law, Harley and Veda Lemmon of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at Cape County Memorial Park.
Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital in St. Louis.
