Cindy Marie Benefield was born on July 8, 1967, to Billy and Goldie Pender Benefield. She unexpectedly departed this earth for her heavenly home on Jan. 10, 2022. Cindy was a loving and kind mother, daughter and sister. She had been a dog groomer at Plaza Pet Grooming for the last eight years, where she gained many two- and four-legged friends. Cindy loved animals and was known for rescuing many dogs and cats over the years and caring for them or finding them loving homes...

Cindy Marie Benefield was born on July 8, 1967, to Billy and Goldie Pender Benefield. She unexpectedly departed this earth for her heavenly home on Jan. 10, 2022.

Cindy was a loving and kind mother, daughter and sister.

She had been a dog groomer at Plaza Pet Grooming for the last eight years, where she gained many two- and four-legged friends. Cindy loved animals and was known for rescuing many dogs and cats over the years and caring for them or finding them loving homes.

She is survived by her two children, Kayla and Cody Bredekamp; one grandson, Kamden Bredekamp; her father, Billy Benefield; two brothers, Dennis (Karen) Benefield and Tim (Lynette) Benefield; and one nephew Casey (Kailyn) Benefield.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Buckelew and mother, Goldie Benefield.

A celebration of life memorial will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hobbs Community Church, formerly Hobbs Chapel, in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southeast Missouri Pets, formerly the Humane Society of Cape Girardeau.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home -- Mount Auburn is in charge of arrangements.
