Chuck Moutell
Charles E. "Chuck" Moutell, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at Delmar Gardens in Chesterfield, Mo.
He was born Oct. 20, 1940, in Murphysboro, Ill., son of Ottie E. and Ruby P. Ellis Moutell. He and Carole A. Hacke were married July 11, 1973. She preceded him in death in 1998.
Moutell was a member of Cape First Assembly of God Church. He was the former owner of Capitol Hill Realty and was a real estate broker CRB, CRS, GRI. He was also a contractor and land developer.
He was a life member of Million Dollar Sales Club, was named Realtor of the Year in 1986, builder of Cape Girardeau's Dream Home, was president of The Southeast Missouri Home Builders Association in 1982, Life Spike member of National Association of Home Builders and member of Who's Who in Missouri 1974.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Wright (Steve) of Wentzville, Mo., Julie Miinch (Jeff) of Wildwood, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Lesa Hinton (David) of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Pauline Hale of Murphysboro, Ill., Cathy Green (Jim) of Belleville, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ottie E. Moutell; mother, Ruby P. Ellis Moutell David; and wife, Carole Moutell.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
