MARBLE HILL -- Christopher Lance Pope, 23, of Marble Hill died Saturday, Aug. 16, 1997, at St. Louis University Hospital from injuries received in a highway accident Friday in Festus.

He was born Feb. 19, 1974, in Festus to Ronald and Brenda Pope. He attended schools in Festus and was stationed in Germany during his service in the U.S. Army.

He was a mechanic and restored antique cars.

He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Clint Pope of Marble Hill and Brandt Pope of Festus; and a sister, Billie Zimmerman of Blue Earth, Minn.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
