Christopher James

Christopher D. James, 35, of Jackson died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 10, 1980, in Cape Girardeau to Eddy D. and Bonnie Fehr James.

Chris was a diesel mechanic and also had worked for Procter & Gamble for the past three years. He loved to fish and hunt. Just being outdoors was his great passion in life. He loved his German shepherd, Kilo; country music; and spending time with his nieces. But he may have been more known for his being a great cook than anything. In fact, family and friends called him the "Grill Master."

He attended Hanes Chapel.

Survivors include his parents of Jackson; his brother, Terry James, and his sister, Mandy James, both of Jackson.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Cook officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
