CHRISTINE SCOTT

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Christine Scott of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shady Acres Church of Christ. Pat Hogan will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Garden at Morley.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston after 4 p.m. today.

Scott, 77, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, at her home.

She was born Dec. 7, 1920, at Caruthersville, daughter of Ezra Clifton and Irene Robins Cantrell. She and Earl Hassell Scott were married Dec. 16, 1940, at Benton.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Larry Scott of Sikeston; a daughter, Geraldine Karnes of Sikeston; a brother, L.J. Cantrell of Orleans, Mich.; two sisters, Ruby Jones of Horn Lake, Miss., Virginia Dial of Chesterfield, Ind.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, a grandchild, and a great-grandchild.
