MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Christine Hughes, 64, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, at her home.
She was born Sept. 7, 1935, near Hiram, Mo., daughter of Bernie Lee and Flora Mae Skaggs Dickie. She and Homer Hughes were married May 10, 1955.
Hughes had worked at Marble Hill Hat Co. She attended New Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Mike Hawkins of Ballwin, Mo., David and Tony Hughes of Marble Hill; three daughters, Linda Mayfield and Karen Long of Marble Hill, Brenda Hughes of Fruitland, Mo.; her mother of Kennett, Mo.; two brothers, Robert Dickie of Kennett, Dwight Dickie of Cabot, Ark.; three sisters, Hazel Tram of Pennsylvania, Lucille Dickie of Kennett, Margie Kyburz of Glen Allen, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Poole and Dr. John Englehart officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
