CHRISTINE EVANS

Christine Evans, 62, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born in West Point, Miss., daughter of James and Flora Evans.

Evans was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board and Missionary Board, and was a member of Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, Timothy Evans of Virginia Beach, Va., Ray Evans of Farmington, Mo.; her father of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Milbert Evans of St. Louis, James Evans Jr. of Florissant, Mo.; a sister, Doris Refeld of St. Louis; and a granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Funeral will be at noon Thursday at Second Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wiley Reed officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time.

Massie Funeral Home in Cairo, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
