Christine Ashley

Christine L. Ashley, 51, of Grants, N.M., died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at her home.

She was born April 13, 1954, in Japan, while her father was serving in the military. She was the daughter of William and Anna Marie Parks Ayers. She married H. Vincent Ashley. He survives.

Mrs. Ashley was an educator at New Mexico State University--Grants Campus.

She and her husband formerly lived at Mattoon, Ill.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Anna Marie Parks Ayers of Las Vegas, Nev.; a son, Vince Ashley and wife Shelley of Pana, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Randal Ayers; and a sister, Marsha France.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m.

A service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Jeff Long officiating.
