Christina Jo House Sharpe, 57, of Mazatlan, Mexico, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008, in Mazatlan, where she retired.
She was born April 11, 1950, in Watseka, Ill., to Charles E. and Eleanor Taylor House.
Sharpe moved to Cape Girardeau in July 1960, graduating from Central High School in 1967. She lived in Minneapolis almost 30 years and graduated with honors from University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts. She was an avid outdoors person with a love of all animals, flowers and trees.
She was of the Methodist belief and belonged to Centenary United Methodist Church as a child.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Eleanor and Reece Brown of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Scott (Patti) House of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Jan Carron (Jeff Davis) of Denver; a nephew, John Charles (Traci Telander) Carron, their children, Calen and Abigael Carron of Boulder, Colo.; a stepsister, Debra (Scott) Carey of Albuquerque, N.M.; an aunt, Wanda House Taylor, an uncle, LaVernbe Taylor of Tamaroa, Ill.; stepmother, Dorothy House; many cousins; and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Edward House; grandparents, Lilly Heape and Vallie House of Tamaroa, Harry H. and Ruth Church Taylor of Peoria, Ill.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at the Taylor plot in the Tamaroa Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Nature Conservancy, Cape Girardeau Senior Center or charity of choice.
