Christina Hoernig

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Christina A. Hoernig, 90, of Perryville died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Aug. 31, 1918, at Advance, Mo., daughter of August and Anna Greuel Hoernig.

Hoernig was a housekeeper. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Legion of Mary.

Surviving are two brothers, the Rev. Alphonse Hoernig of Perryville, Leonard Hoernig of St. Louis, and a sister, Bernadina Hoernig of Perryville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. The rosary will be recited at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Alphonse Hoernig officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Masses at St. Vincent's Church.
