Chester Raymond "Judge" Harmon, 83, 539 S. Spring, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born Oct. 27, 1911, at Malden, son of Alonzo D. and Crilla Bowman Harmon. He and Geraldine E. Smith were married Feb. 21, 1935, in Blytheville, Ark. She died June 23, 1993...

Chester Raymond "Judge" Harmon, 83, 539 S. Spring, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Oct. 27, 1911, at Malden, son of Alonzo D. and Crilla Bowman Harmon. He and Geraldine E. Smith were married Feb. 21, 1935, in Blytheville, Ark. She died June 23, 1993.

Harmon had lived here since 1946. He was an engineer with Frisco Railroad more than 40 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers 595.

Survivors include a daughter, Laura Riehn of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Velva Barrett of Manila, Ark.; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons and two brothers.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 7-9 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Donnie Ford officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
