EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Chester Fieldon "Boss" Schneider of East Prairie will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jim Norris will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.

Schneider, 69, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 6, 1924, in New Madrid County, son of Adam Pete and Eulah Lynch Schneider. He and Leola M. Banks were married Jan. 14, 1949.

Schneider was a retired foreman with Big Oak Farms, and member of Nelson United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Herschel Schneider of East Prairie; three sisters, Frankie Whitman of Glendale, Ariz., Helen Essary of Pevely, and Thelma Williams of Poplar Bluff.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
