Chester Eugene Berry, 71, of 1920 Bloomfield, died Saturday, April 23, 1994, at his residence.
He was born March 17, 1923, at Vanduser, son of Guy P. and Georgia B. Willis Berry.
He married Pearl Edwards, July 2, 1984, at Ste. Genevieve.
Berry worked as a custodian at Southeast Missouri State University for 12 years. He had also previously worked for Marcus Candy and Tobacco in St. Louis.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Roger L. Berry of St. Louis; a stepson, Adam R. Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau; two stepdaughters, Paula L. Delfel of St. Louis, Cynthia L. Underwood of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Herman H. Berry of St. Louis; nine stepgrandchilren and a stepgreat-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel, with the Rev. Eddie Dodson officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
