OAK RIDGE -- Cheryl Crites, age 48, of Oak Ridge passed away Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
She was born Jan. 14, 1952, in Wichita, Kan., the daughter of Warren and Helen (Clifton) Wilson. She married Lee Crites April 24, 1981, and he survives.
Cheryl is also survived by her mother, Helen Wilson of Jackson.
Two sisters and one brother-in-law, Linda Engelmann of Cape and Barbara and Gary Hofstetter of Ashland, Mo.
Other survivors include a niece, Heather Farrow; one nephew, Derek Engelmann; and one great-nephew, Robbie Farrow.
Her father preceded her in death April 4, 1996.
Cheryl graduated from Jackson High School in 1971 and then immediately attended the Patricia Stevens Interior Decorating School in Wichita, Kansas. For the past 15 years she had worked at the Procter & Gamble plant.
She was an avid horseman and was a member of the AQHA and the former Blodgett Horse Club.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, with funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral chapel. The Rev. David Pringle will officiate, with burial in Russell Height Cemetery in Jackson, Mo.
The family requests that memorials be given to the American Cancer Society.
