Charlotte Petry

McCLURE, Ill. -- Charlotte L. Petry, 79, of McClure died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 27, 1931, in St. Louis, daughter of John and Dorothy Edster Mueller. She and Ted Petry were married Aug. 27, 1957, in St. Louis. He died May 14, 1985.

Petry was employed at Jackson Manor and Saint Francis Medical Center, retiring in 1995.

Survivors include a son, David (Dianna) Petry of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Terri (the late Donnie) Jestus, of Jackson; a grandson, Joshua Petry of Cape Girardeau; a granddaughter, Andrea (Adam) Appleton of Jackson; a great-grandson, Roman Appleton; three great-granddaughters, Haley, Hannah and Heidi Petry; and a special family friend, Frances Brotherton.

A sister, Betty Jones, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Mo. The Rev. Mark Graham will officiate.

Burial will be in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
