GLEN ALLEN -- Charlie Floyd Underwood Jr. of Glen Allen died Friday, March 19, 1993, in Port Isabel, Texas. He was 57.
He was born at Glen Allen on Feb. 15, 1936, to the late Charlie F. Underwood and Thelma Deck Underwood. Thelma Underwood survives of Glen Allen.
He married Corine Shrum. She survives of Glen Allen.
Also surviving is one daughter, Deborah Black of Aurora, Colo.; two brothers, Virgil Underwood of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Kenneth Underwood of Bardwell, Ky.; two sisters, Frances Wagner of Farmington and Sue Haynes of St. Peters, Mo.; and one grandson.
He was a retired school teacher, having taught in the Woodland School District, He was also a member of the Glen Allen United Methodist Church, a member of Phi Delta Kappa and a member of the National Education Association.
Visitation will be Monday after 4:30 p.m. at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Fred Ritter. Burial will be in Glen Allen Cemetery at Glen Allen.
