WAPPAPELLO, Mo. -- Charley E. Marler, 88, of Wappapello died Saturday, July 7, 2001, at Cedar Gate in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was born Dec. 19, 1912, in Kime, Mo., son of Charley Marler and Bell Willis Marler Storey. He and Mary Elledge were married Sept. 29, 1938, in Poplar Bluff. She died June 27, 1973.
He was a retired logger, working as a cutter for Arthur James. He lived in Wappapello his entire life. He also served in the Civilian Conservation Corps.
Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Marler of High Ridge, Mo., and Perry Marler of Supulpa, Okla.; a daughter, Linda Watson of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Sam Storey of Dexter, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Mo.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Louie Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Wappapello Cemetery.
