MARBLE HILL -- Charley Samuel Ladd, 83, of Marble Hill died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at his home.
He was born Oct. 20, 1915, at Greenbrier, son of James N. and Nellie Umpfleet Ladd. He and Myrel Hindman were married June 15, 1933.
Ladd was a retired farmer. He was a charter member of Ladd Chapel Church and was ordained as a deacon in 1945.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Billy Ladd of Delta; a brother, Marcus Ladd of Advance; two sisters, Goldie Pickett of Advance, Lillian Schebberf of Indianola, Neb.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eldo Eaker officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
