SIKESTON -- Charley Bridger, 90, of Sikeston died Monday, May 26, 1997, at his home.
He was born Sept. 1, 1906, in Bells, Tenn., son of Hardy and Callie Acuff Bridger. He and Gladys Cutter were married Jan. 31, 1928.
Bridger was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, William Bridger of Fresno, Calif., Vernon Bridger of New man, Calif.; two daughters, Alma Chism of Deming, N.M., Marjorie Trammel of Fresno; a brother, Ack Bridger of North Branch, Mich.; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Billie Fair officiating. Burial will be in Essex Cemetery at Essex.
