OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Charles L. Wilson, 86, of Olive Branch died Thursday, July 30, 2015, at his home.
He was born Feb. 4, 1929, in Thebes, Illinois, son of Willis and Leona Bedwell Wilson. He and Phyllis Lowe were married Dec. 10, 1949.
Charles worked in construction more than 40 years and was a lifelong farmer in Alexander County. He was a member of unions in Cairo, Illinois, and Cape Girardeau and a member of Pulaski-Alexander Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Phyllis Wilson of Olive Branch; a daughter, Lana (Larry) Cusick of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandsons, James and Brad (Nicole) Cusick; five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Alec, Anthony, Lars and Willa; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Bigham, and a brother, Paul Wilson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Earnest Brown and Steve Clardy officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Olive Branch Christian Academy and will be accepted at the funeral home.
