CHARLES W. NEILL

CAIRO, Ill. -- Charles Willard "Jiggs" Neill, 79, of Cairo, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born May 17, 1915, in Cairo, son of David Allen and Ruby Mae Rorer Neill. He was reared by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Hamilton.

Neill was a retired construction painter and home interior decorator. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and IOOF Lodge 1, and served 10 years in the National Guard Unit in Cairo.

Survivors include a sister, Bertha Ozment of Mounds.

His wife, Martha Kathryn, died April 5, 1985.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Chris Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
