SIKESTON -- Charles W. Krauss, 86, of Sikeston died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 9, 1911, at Charleston, son of William and Nellie Mae Atkins Krauss. He and Lois Ray were married Jan. 11, 1933, in East Prairie.
Krauss worked as a carpet installer. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon and superintendent of Sunday school.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Orville Krauss of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Janet Spitler and Karen McKinnie, both of Sikeston; two sisters, Blanche Bowman of Wyatt and Nell Laughlin; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Revs. Martin Butrum and Delbert Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
