A memorial service for Charles Ivan Uhr of Cape Girardeau will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church in Chaffee, Mo. The Rev. Vyron Yount will officiate.
There is no visitation.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Uhr, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
He was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Springfield, son of Sidney Lucerne and Elizabeth Todd Uhr. He married Betty Lou Fitch April 7, 1945, in Neodesha, Kan. She died March 5, 2001.
Uhr was a graduate of Central High School and attended Drury College, both in Springfield.
He was a signal maintainer with Frisco Railroad, retiring in 1970. He was a member of First Christian Church in Chaffee, active in Boy Scouts, was a Shriner, Mason, and member of the Elks Lodge.
Survivors include three sons, Joseph Uhr of West Monroe, La., Charles Uhr Jr. and Sidney Uhr of Springfield; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepmother, and a brother.
