SIKESTON -- Charles Tyra, 51, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999, at his home.
He was born Jan. 10, 1948, at Haleyville, Ala., son of Elmer L. and Eveline Barton Tyra. He and Jessie McIntosh were married Dec. 31, 1992.
Tyra was employed at Delta Veterinary Clinic in Sikeston.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Derek Tyra of Sikeston, Donald and Charles Tyra Jr. of Dexter; a daughter, Lee Ann Gremard of Matthews; a stepson, Robert Hazel of Sikeston; and a stepdaughter, Mary Tidwell of Sikeston.
Also surviving are four brothers, Elmer Tyra Jr. of Sikeston, Kenneth Tyra of Lake Holiday, Ill., Edward Tyra of Haleyville, Stanley Tyra of Pulaski, Tenn.; four sisters, Dean Nichols of Haleyville, Sue Perrigan of Pulaski, Mona Milner of Morrison, Ill., Lillian Sizemore of Sikeston; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
