BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Charles Evans Tucker, 78, of Bloomfield died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 18, 1923, at Avert, Mo., son of Charles Cole and Amy Evans Tucker. He and Mary Bacon were married Aug. 2, 1940.
Tucker was a lifelong resident of the Bloomfield community. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge 153 AF&AM.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Steve Tucker of Bloomfield, Charles Tucker of Ocala, Fla.; two daughters, Sue Nance of Lyford, Texas, Mary Tucker-Olive of Aurora, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ron Dunavin officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery.
