MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Charles Everett Seabaugh, 79, of Marble Hill died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 25, 1935, in Marble Hill, son of James Marion and Bessie Irene Stratton Seabaugh. He and Mary Marie Atchison, whom he loved and adored, were married Feb. 22, 1958. She passed away Nov. 10, 2009.
Charles served in the United States Army.
He retired from General Motors Corvette Plant. He was a very generous man and enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds.
Survivors include a son, Craig E. Seabaugh of Marble Hill; a daughter, Evelyn Marie Scott of Godfrey, Illinois; a brother, Carl Seabaugh of Marble Hill; a sister, Norma J. Waggoner of Zalma, Missouri; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bradley J.; and sisters Lena Moyers and Elsie Douglas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in McGee Chapel Cemetery.
