CHARLES SCAGGS

ELLSINORE -- Charles Robert "Bob" Scaggs, 68, died Thursday, May 16, 1996, at his home in Ellsinore.

He was born Nov. 3, 1927, to Albert and Gladys Cole Scaggs in Madison, Ill.

He married Esther Loretta Hampton on Feb. 19, 1955, in Grandin. She survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Robert Eugene Scaggs of Pampa, Texas, and Kenneth and Curtis Michael Scaggs, both of Jackson; a daughter, Tina Lynne Hecke of Seattle; four brothers, Albert Scaggs of Puxico, Glenn Scaggs of California, Raymond Scaggs of Texas and Mitchell Ray Scaggs of North Carolina; four sisters, Arlene Marandola of Ellsinore, Virginia Scaggs of St. Louis, Mildred Kirkpatrick of Poplar Bluff and Linda Raymer of Ellsinore; and five grandchildren.

Scaggs was a retired welder and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Friends may call at McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore Monday after 6 p.m.

Funeral service will be at the funeral home Tuesday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Phillip Tanner officiating.

Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
