SCOTT CITY -- Charles Ray "Bud" Cassout, 56, of Scott City died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. SCOTT CITY -- Charles Ray "Bud" Cassout, 56, of Scott City died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 16, 1935, at Fornfelt, the son of the late Walter Cassout and Helen Brooks, who survives of Cape Girardeau. On Jan. 6, 1968, he married Sharon Wengert, who survives of the home.

He was a locomotive engineer for the Cotton Belt Railroad and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He also attended Illmo Baptist Church in Scott City.

Other survivors include a son, Duane Cassout of College Station, Texas; a sister, Margie Casteel of Jackson; and two grandsons.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Ray McAfee will officiate, and burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
