CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Charles Elwin Pruett Jr., 60, of Chaffee died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at his home.
He was born March 16, 1941, at Blodgett, Mo., son of Charles Elwin and Grace Williams Pruett Sr. He and Nancy McMullin were married May 27, 1962.
Pruett was a police officer in Chaffee many years, and retired as a line operator at Procter & Gamble. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Sikeston, Mo.
Survivors include his mother and wife of Chaffee; a son, Eddie Pruett of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Dolly and David Kluesner of New Hamburg, Mo.; two grandchildren, Samantha Kluesner and Jerome Kluesner of New Hamburg; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Larry Schmidt of Hillsboro, Mo., Betty Jo and Dennis Carnell of Dothan, Ala.; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Pruett of Cape Girardeau, Nancy Pruett of Morley, Mo.; 10 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and two brothers, David and Vernon Pruett.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Watis Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Old Morley Cemetery at Morley.
