EAST PRAIRIE -- Charles Paul Parr, 69, of East Prairie died Friday, Oct. 24, 1997, at his home.

He was born June 22, 1928, at East Prairie, son of Andy and Monica Lee Lowery Hutton Parr.

He was a lifelong resident of Mississippi County. He was a retired truck driver and of the Baptist denomination.

Survivors include a son, Calvin Parr of East Prairie; three daughters, Paula Burney and Edna Faye Parr, both of East Prairie, and Genia Zellers of Caruthersville; three brothers, Russell Parr of Morehouse, Jimmie Parr of Fredericktown and James A. Parr of Albany, Ga.; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral chapel.

Brother Martin Lucas will officiate, with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Charleston.
