Charles "Chip" Nenninger, 34, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born Aug. 19, 1979, in Cape Girardeau, to Charles B. and Debra Taylor Nenninger.
Chip graduated from Jackson High School in 1999. He was the manager for the football, track and basketball teams for the Indians. Chip loved movies and trivia, spending time with his family and his niece, Hailey. Fishing and hunting were passions of his life, which he shared with his father.
He worked for Asa Asphalt 17 years and was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include his father, Charles B. Nenninger of Cape Girardeau; mother, Debra Taylor Nenninger of Cape Girardeau; four uncles, Allen (Laurie) Taylor and Dick Nenninger of Cape Girardeau, Chris Nenninger of Marquand, Mo., and Bob (Jean) Nenninger of Glen Carbon, Ill.; an aunt, Sister Rickey Nenninger of St. Louis; two cousins, John (Stefanie) Taylor of St. Peters, Mo., and Matt (Brittany) Taylor of Paris, Wis.; a niece, Hailey Taylor of Cape Girardeau; grandparents, Dwight Taylor and Dorothy Taylor; and two stepuncles, Mark (Debby) Bradley of Cape Girardeau and Lynn (David) Christianson of Beaumont, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, two grandmothers and two aunts.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 6.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
