CHARLES MEMERING

CHAFFEE -- Charles Edward Memering, 58, of Chaffee died Wednesday, March 26, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 20, 1939, in Vincennes, Ind., son of Edward and Lucille Bair Memering. He and Shirley Ann Lowe were married March 18, 1967.

Memering was an assembly line worker 18 years at Budd Co. in Gary, Ind. He retired as office manager at OFMCO in Sikeston.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles Memering Jr. of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Charlotte Memering of Hobart, Ind., Rebecca Heintz of Tinley Park, Ill.; a half brother, Joe Bair of Miami, Fla.; a sister, Rema Vezey of Gary; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call at Rees Funeral Home in Hobart from 2-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Portage, Ind.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee was in charge of local arrangements.
